WHAT IS ISO 14001?

As previously mentioned, to help us develop our Environmental Management System (EMS) we are going to use a standard called ISO 14001 - "Environmental Management Systems". This is similar in style to ISO 9000:2000 which addresses Quality Management. It does not tell us what to do, but it does tell us the requirements that we should meet. ISO 14001 comprises a number of requirements; these are explained in the following pages.
